Our business: Manufacturing Control System s Specifically Designed for the Foundry, Diecast and Metal Cast Industry

A brief focus from individual team members who play a key role in the nurturing of our most important asset...The Customer.

Barbara Nolan

I am Barbara Nolan and my main focus in the company is the marketing of Synchro 32 . I also oversee many areas of our company's day to day function. Our simple mantra is ‘We don't do Mediocre'...as a close knit team we concentrate on continued improvement toward creating an exceptional company . This spotlight is applied to every area , without exception.

At Synchro, Customer is king . The software system we sell is the best in the market; however this is not much use if customer communication is poor, fragmented, and technically weak and the user feels a lack of priority. In general, a user of synchro 32 will require either information or a solution; our policy of a 5 minute maximum response is set in ‘stone' and we encourage all users to talk about the problems they experience within their day –to- day working environment; this constant flow of communication enables us to improve and develop solutions in the system. The daily experience of the Synchro user is at the forefront of our collective effort. We believe in what we do, the relationship is entirely symbiotic; and is constantly changing and improved to meet the user's needs, in return the effort we employ toward this end is repaid in abundance.

With the global financial crisis upper most in our minds; the key to our customers staying in business will rely heavily on past performance, efficiency, quality and trusting the integrity of data generated by the Synchoro 32 system. We know for certain each Synchro user has the tool to traverse this unprecedented situation. The commitment to using a specific, all inclusive system indicates a company's understanding that without this critical tool, no matter how hard they strive in all other fundamental areas...they cannot match a competitor with an integrated specific system. System is key and the life blood of a company... streets ahead of a competitor who manage on spread sheets and fragmented systems.

Lee Mahon

My name is Lee Mahon; I am the technical support manager for Synchro 32 . As part of my job, I constantly monitor all my colleagues work lists and our internal ticketing system, to ensure every customer is kept up to date with any outstanding issues and all support requests are replied to immediately. I operate my support team in the same way I like to be treated when contacting any commercial enterprise, concisely, fairly, and with integrity.

Synchro is the best available software of its type, but would be for nought, if it was not for our customers. I work to the motto of “customers are not an interruption of my work; they are who I work for”. A typical day in the support department is a flurry of non-stop activity.

When a customer requires assistance or simply needs advice, they either email or phone through to support. Every communication has a dedicated ticket number which allows for tracking through each department. This documented ticketing information is available to each customer via a secure password protected system.

We operate a ‘Quiet Call' policy, in which we contact all customers' we have not heard from within 30 days as a courtesy to ensure everything is running smoothly. All new customers are given set weekly calls, to help & assist in any way during their formative months with Synchro.

“When was the last time, you not only met your customers expectations, but exceeded them?” At Synchro, I push my team to ensure that we respond to customer request for support within minutes, and due to this attention to a customer's needs, we have a great relationship with our entire worldwide customer base.

Taking the time to ensure YOUR customers feel like the cherished people they are, just takes an extra few minutes of your time, but the rewards for doing so are vast, put simply, a well informed customer, is a happy customer...

Lastly , in my position, I am lucky enough to work with the best team a manager could ask for!

Simon Adlington

My name is Simon Adlington and I am the Implementation Manager at Synchro 32 and I have been involved with this version of our software since its inception. I have been working with software in the cast metals industry since 1983; starting as a software programmer and then moving into implementation and consultancy in the late 1980's. It has been my pleasure to work with hundreds metal casters on four continents over this period and can honestly say that I have, and still do, immensely enjoy working with the industry.

My main roles within the company fall into the following categories:-

Implementation Planning.

This is always undertaken following the first site visit, I need an understanding of the individual requirements of the client and learn from them which parts of the software will benefit them the most, allowing us to give the biggest immediate benefit from the software.

Software Configuration

Synchro 32 has an extremely flexible set of configuration settings, called Yes/No options within the system which allows the software to work with a very little amount of data and effort on our client's behalf right up to full software utilisation. I aid the clients configure the system to get maximum benefit with minimum effort.

Software Specification

T he Synchro 32 software integrates with a great many other software types such as accounts packages, spectrometers, tensile test machines and data collection systems. This is done to minimise the amount of data that has to be keyed into the system. When we encounter a software package that we do not integrate with I will take a specification for the linkage requirements then work with the development team to save our client the most time possible.

End User Training

Once the implementation plan has been established, I am one of a team that delivers the training to the software users called for in the plan. The training is delivered along with full documentation for the module being trained.

Report Design and Creation

Synchro 32 uses Crystal Reports ™, one of the most powerful reporting and analysis tools available to produce all of it's documentation and analytical reports. We supply a comprehensive range of reports with the system but all of our clients have unique requirements, especially within the cost analysis area. I am one of a team of people who help our clients design and write reports to allow them to achieve the best analysis possible from the data that they are inputting into Synchro 32

Team Work

I now work with the most committed team of people that it has been my pleasure to be a part of. Between us we have well over a hundred years of experience in the industry and have been involved with just about every variant within the cast metals industry

Barrie Johnson

My name is Barrie Johnson and I am a developer for Synchro, working on the Synchro32 Suite of programs. My job involves designing, developing, testing and implementing solutions to issues raised by new and existing customers. Typically, I would be required to intervene with the support team if they have a problem or bug which they cannot deal with. This escalation of an issue to the development team may require further communication with the customer to determine more precise detail of the issue they are experiencing.

With more complex development, we take detailed specification; this may require an onsite visit, if however development is unique to a particular customer we calculate the cost and forward a quote to the customer. This process requires time, guidance and finite detail to get a project to the point where we meet the customers' expectation.

We have a continual development portfolio, planned months in advance eventually for global use for each user.

As an example ; I worked on a data transformation for a new customer, they were spending a huge amount of time and effort collating data into a database of their own design and required us to transform that data into Synchro 32 the task was no mean feat and took several weeks to complete. But on 'go live' day, thanks to both their and our efforts the data was implemented into their own copy of Synchro with very few issues.

There are many exciting prospects ahead for Synchro; the depth of knowledge from each member of my team brings enormous possibilities for the future.

I personally have worked in some highly stressed IT environments and bring the lessons learnt there along with me.  I have never worked with a more dedicated team than at Synchro, the service is second to none.

Chris Collins

A last comment from C Collins MD. I am always heartened when the individuals of the Synchro team independently conclude what a rewarding environment we work in. Each member of the team is trusted with a great deal of autonomy, I believe it is necessary to encourage and support initiative. Assuming individual responsibility is a necessary requirement for the success of the collective, being flexible and adapting to the changing environment of a customer focused company is a daily challenge and so without this great team Synchro would be incapable of achieving the goal of becoming an exceptional company. Bureaucracy smothers employees' imagination and drive! We have no place in this company for it.
