Metalurgia 2012 - 18th-21st September

The Exhibition Metalurgia 2012 was held over 4 days, September 18 to 21 at Expoville in the town of Joinville Brazil. Held every two years it is an international exhibition that, this year, attracted 24,000 visitors and is expected to generate US$220,000,000 of business. 450 companies took the opportunity to exhibit and receive visitors from 16 countries.

Impressive numbers as they are the general level of opinion of exhibitors was that this year there were fewer visitors than previous and a general lower level of interest. This is borne out by the lower level of automotive foundry activity which always a prime foundry industry mover. This had a 20% lower activity level than this time last year. Because of this companies are looking at diversifying into other areas where new technologies and innovations can be applied to products.

Synchro ERP registered some positive leads and we look forward to some new customers very soon. The exhibition closed with a general level of optimism for the future as companies are still looking o expand their operations and technology.
