AFS Fort Worth Texas Board Meeting July 26th 2013

Shane Allen, Head of Synchro ERP North American Operations, had the pleasure of representing the Synchro ERP team at the most recent meeting of the AFS Texas Chapter.

I made a run to Fort Worth, cow town USA, last week to attend the American Foundry Society, AFS Texas Board meeting.

The Texas Chapter has really two main functions, (1) to promote the foundry and metalcasting industry and (2) to provide educational support in the form of scholarships to university/college students. Very noble causes

The meeting was well attended and covered a lot of areas, especially the scholarships and the liaison with Texas State University in San Marcos.

The BBQ at the restaurant was most outstanding, probably the best that I have ever had in my life. I had sliced beef, corn, and baked beans. Yum!
