Held biannually in Joinville, Santa Catarina the Metalurgia Exhibition is an eagerly awaited event. Metalurgia 2010 proved to be no exception.
Due to the demand the available floor area was increased by 12% from the previous show. It reflects the upturn that is currently underway in the Brazilian Metallurgical sector. Brazil was never really hit quite as hard as North America or Europe but nevertheless it was still affected by the global economic downturn. It seems we turned the corner.
Synchro’s stand was outstanding this year, the designers had done a really good job. It seems each year we have to come up with new ideas and designs to reflect the global and modern appeal of our software. Thank you to Gallina Stands.
Visitor numbers have not been released yet but my impression is that despite the recent economic hard times visitor numbers held steady. The industry does take this opportunity and allows all levels of personnel to visit, from Directors to students, all were welcome.
At the Synchro stand we had many visitors, old friends and new. It is truly an international event as we had visitors from Ecuador, Bolivia and Chile, all looking for a specific production control system. Many of course from Brazil, existing customers coming to say hello and some very promising new leads that I am confident will turn into customers.
Hard work goes into an exhibition, it is a long week for everybody but equally enjoyable, so thank you to everyone involved |
