Having developed foundry-specific software since 1975, Synchro ERP has recently announced App technology, for use by cast metal manufacturers.

Recently, several Apps SF have been released for the shop floor, a development stream considered important for the mobile requirements for the cast metal manufacturing environment.

Synchro already has an outstanding shop floor data collection module integrated in the software but the shop floor is a challenging environment. Consequently, the company’s vigilance for technical innovation and suitable solutions led to the development of shop floor Apps. Cost-effective and flexible devices lend themselves to work in what can be a harsh environment and the App interface, familiar to most people, is utilised in their everyday lives.

Cost savings are a continual challenge for all companies and Synchro makes this a prerequisite when developing software, in this case introducing versatile technology solutions, eliminating expensive networking costs, fewer fixed work stations and lower cost hardware replacement. Intuitive software development is a strength for which Synchro is renowned, the benefits including less training. In some instances, the company predicts no training for its shop floor App, which is available on Android, iOS and Windows. Current functionality includes Work/Scarp Booking, Time Collection, WIP Counter, Sub-Con and Purchase Receipts, as well as Materials Stock Taking. More development is in progress for the shop floor.
